How we handle your shipments, from booking to delivery, and what we need from you.
This Shipping Policy explains how Evercrest Cargo handles your shipments, from booking to delivery. It applies to all our air, ocean and road freight services. By booking a shipment with us, you agree to this policy.
All quotes are based on the information you give us, including the weight, size, type of goods and the collection and delivery addresses. If the actual details are different, the price may change. We'll always tell you before any change is made.
A shipment is confirmed once you accept the quote and we confirm the booking in writing.
We'll agree a collection date and time with you. Please make sure your goods are packed, labelled and ready when we arrive, and that someone is available to hand them over. If we can't collect because the goods aren't ready, a new collection may need to be arranged, which may cost extra.
You're responsible for packing your goods properly so they can survive the journey. As a guide:
If you're not sure how to pack something, ask us before collection and we'll advise you.
We can't ship anything that's illegal in the origin, transit or destination country. Some items are restricted and may need special handling, permits or may not be allowed at all, including:
You must tell us exactly what you're sending. If you give us false or incomplete information, you may be responsible for any fines, delays or extra costs that result.
International shipments must clear customs. You'll need to provide accurate information about your goods, including a full description and their value, and any documents we ask for.
Import duties and taxes are set by the destination country, not by us. Unless agreed otherwise when booking, they're paid by the receiver. Shipments may be held until they're paid.
Any delivery times we give are estimates, not guarantees. Things outside our control can affect timings, including:
We'll keep you updated if we expect a delay.
Once your shipment has been collected, we'll send you a tracking number. You can check its progress on our Track Parcel page at any time.
We take care with every shipment, but things can occasionally go wrong in transit. Cargo insurance is available and we recommend it, especially for valuable goods. Ask for it when you request your quote.
Without insurance, our liability for loss or damage is limited. The limits depend on the type of shipment and the terms agreed when you book. Ask us for details before you ship.
If your shipment arrives damaged or something is missing:
Please report any damage or loss as soon as you can after delivery. Late claims are much harder to investigate and may not be accepted.
If we can't deliver your shipment, for example because the address is wrong, nobody is available or the receiver refuses it, we'll contact you to agree what happens next. Storage, re-delivery or return costs may apply.
We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page, with the date it was last updated.
